P. S. 54 Enrollment
P.S. 54 enrolls students from 3K through Grade 5. There are approximately 4 classes on each grade. Of those 4 classes, 1 -2 of them are Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classrooms on each grade. An ICT classroom is designed to create a challenging and enriching learning environment for both general education students (60% of the class) and children with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that mandate a ICT class (40% of the class). In addition to ICT classes, there we have a 12:1 self-contained class on each grade from Kindergarten through Grade 5.

3-K Registration
If your child was born in 2020 and lives in New York City they are eligible to attend 3-K in fall of 2023. If you missed the deadline to apply to 3-K, you can still participate in admissions by adding your child to programs' waitlists! The way to do this is online with MySchools, learn how in our "How to Add Your Child to Waitlists” video.
Pre-K Registration
If your child was born in 2019 and lives in New York City they are eligible to attend pre-K in fall of 2023. If you missed the deadline to apply to pre-K, you can still participate in admissions by adding your child to programs' waitlists! Kindergarten Registration
In New York City, children enter kindergarten in the fall of the calendar year they turn five, and are guaranteed a kindergarten seat at a public school. Once your child starts kindergarten, they can remain at the same school until its final elementary grade.
