Welcome to the online home of PS 54’s Green Team!
Our Green Team is made up of 4th and 5th grade students who care about helping the environment. With the support of our advisor, Christina Salters, students learn how small actions can make a big difference.
The Green Team works on projects that help our school take better care of the planet. One of our main activities is collecting plastic bottles each week to help reduce waste and encourage recycling. Students also learn about saving energy and making environmentally friendly choices at school and at home.
One special project our team is proud of is collecting bottle caps to help create a Buddy Bench. This project shows how working together and reusing materials can help build a stronger school community.
The Green Team also helps teach others about climate change and why it is important to protect our Earth. Through lessons and activities, students learn how their choices can help reduce pollution and care for the environment.
PS 54’s Green Team is more than just a club—it’s a group of students working together to make a positive impact. Check back to see updates on our projects, events, and the great work our students are doing to help make our school greener!
